Katrín Káradóttir is the Programme Director in Fashion Design at the Department of Design and Architecture at the Iceland University of the Arts. Katrín studied tailoring in Reykjavik and fashion design in Paris.
Katrín Káradóttir is an Associate Professor in Fashion Design at the Iceland University of the Arts, both an educated designer and a pattern maker.
Katrín has work experience from fashion houses in Paris, where she studied, and also in Iceland where she is a slow fashion pioneer, awarded by the Icelandic association of fashion designers for quality and excellence. She is interested in building new and innovative systems, focusing on sustainability and low environmental impact, thinking about the origins and endpoint of textiles, and has brought this to the forefront of fashion education in Iceland.
